I had put off watching this for a very long time. .....and I am glad I did because I am in love with SAM AND DEAN WINCHESTER. The characters are amazing....its so Cane and Able that you can't help but be brought into their world and sucked in to the bad vs. good theme throughout the entire show. I am presently on season 5 and can't get enough!
The story continues to develop in different ways....the first season is a bit obvious however as the story line continues to progress there are life altering writers, Demons and little twists that are not always obvious until your in them. I love it also because lets face it.....those two boys that play Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are just plain easy on the eyes....yep, I'm talkin real eye candy!
I sure hope you have had a great day and you have not had to endure snow as we have in Northern NB. Really, still snowing here.....I so look forward to summer.....when I can bitch about the heat. Cheers y'all

Series: Angel S01:E01
CITY OF...
Ok my first reaction was to remember that this aired in 1999. David Bornez is as yummy as ever ; however, age sure has helped him look even better! The Suprise for me came when I realized this show is a spin off from Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
The style reeks of the time it was created in, even the cell phones are retro...lol. The story line is definately late teens- early twenties but there is just something about the lone woof of David's character. I can't help to watch more ....it like a fly being drawn into a spiders web.... Not sure how to rate the series I watch.....

Movie: Abraham Lincoln-Vampire Hunter
It with unexpected news that I say I was pleasantly pleased with this movie! Wow, the battle and fighting scenes were impressive, the grafix of turning the human into vampire were downright scary and the movie was fast paced and kept you wanting more!
I had started this book about a year ago and only read the first pages and thought naaaa I guess I don't want to read this book. It seemed slow and really I was not that interested (which I usually am when it comes to reading vampire books). I felt the movie hooked me within about the first 15 minutes and I wanted to see what came next in the story especially the Battle of Gettysburg!
If you watch right to the very end you are also pleasantly surprised that the story could continue.....

Movie: Winters Bone
Although I have watched two Jennifer Lawrence movies today I can say the movies were completly different in feel. Winters Bone was a very slow moving show. I put it down a few times to tend to family business and then returned but only to wish it was over soon.
This movie has a sad and depressing feel right away and when Jennifer's character (sweet pea) gets drug into a desperate means to save her present day family and the land they live on it becomes a heavy hearted movie. I feel that although the message may have been conveyed in a modern day swamp people feel the message is as old as can be: you rat, you get dead!
I will not highly recommend this movie as it is too slow and much too depressing throughout the entire show.

Movie: Hunger Games
I Read the book and absolutely loved it! Let's face it a book is always (almost anyways) better than the movie- so most times when I read a book that good I DO NOT expect the movie to be as good. Boy OH Boy was I wrong in this case!
I just finished watching the Hunger Games and was I surprised! This movie was great! The visual effects were wonderful! (Talk about cool clothes:ones that light on fire). The story line, although horrific, is very well told and kept me intreigued throughout the movie (even though I already read the book and knew what was coming)!
I do have one complaint- I understand the movie has a very serious and dark side at times it was extremely difficult to see what was suspose to be going on. This happened in particular in the wooded scenes where Katniss was battling, creating suspense I suppose; however, I really wanted to see her kick ass moves and skill!
I guess I have 2 complaints or rantings: what on earth are they going to do with this love fest between Katniss and Peta? Really her heart belongs to Gale...sigh....until the next round! I have to say maybe it's the girl in me but I loved the Romeo and Juliet end to the finally of the Games! May the odds be ever in their favor!
I will be rating movies out of 10. 5 for content (story quality) and 5 for recommendation

Perhaps I am being liberal but I really love this type of movie that keeps me wanting to go back for more. I have not read the next book or watched the next movie in this trilogy but I am quite excited to find a copy and begin the next chapter. I really hope that the odds are in their favor throughout the story!

Yesterday's movies, books and fun
Well it's like this- I use to keep up with the most recent movies and I use to be able to read the most current books; however, due to the economy and not working I have had to find new methods to still watch movies and read a few books that I quite like as well- actually open my selections up.
On the movie front we have recently acquired Netflix and OH MY GAWSH what a lot of selection! There are movies I haven't even heard of! Today I watched a movie that when it came out I just didn't have time so I put it off.
